What is Writing Workshop?
The Writing Workshop model aims to meet students exactly where they are in their writing journey. There is direct instruction, time to write, time to conference with students, and time to revise, publish, and share. It's everything good writing should be, without being tedious or boring.
Mini Lessons
Kids need direct instruction. Period. But we can't overdo it or overwhelm them. Get the perfect balance as I guide you through the process to create your lessons.
Time for Writing
Kids don't learn to write just from listening to you deliver the perfect lesson...they need time to write and conference with you. You will learn how to easily incorporate this into your classroom with actionable steps.
Unit Creation
Lessons need to be cohesive so that kids can create a purposeful writing piece. In this course, you will be guided through this process and have one-on-one assistance when you need it.
